New numbers show food insecurity in NWMO


ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger relief organization, released updated information showing that food insecurity now resides at over 54,00 individuals in Second Harvest Community Food Banks's 19-county service area.

Communications Coordinator for Second Harvest Blake Haynes told KXCV/KRNW that numbers have been jumping back and forth all year because of the pandemic.

Haynes adds that even though people have begun to return to work they are still doing everything they can to help those in need.
